I really enjoyed this book and I think it could be used a classroom when talking about teamwork and planning. The students could see how to do something fun and adventurous, they need to make a plan and list first so they know they have everything they need. I think children would really like this book.
Literary Elements
1. Personification - This whole book would be considered personification because an elephant and a pig are speaking English. This could be taught as a lesson to children for their writing. They can see how make something speak when it usually does not makes writing so much fun and makes the story more enjoyable for the readers.
2. Dialogue - The entire story is written as dialogue between Elephant and Piggie. There is no narration. It is just speaking bubbles with the characters' conversation back and forth.
3. Repeition - This book uses a lot of repetition in the fact that everytime Elephant names an item off, Piggie repeats the item back to him. It shows the importance of the items that are needed for the road trip.
